About Shpresa

A Therapist Who Truly Listens

I believe that healing is possible for everyone. My work is grounded in compassion, cultural sensitivity, and a deep respect for each person's unique journey.

"Healing begins with a choice — and I am here to walk alongside you every step of the way."

I create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly. Whether you are navigating addiction, relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, or the weight of past trauma, I am committed to helping you build the tools and resilience needed to move forward.

Background

My Approach

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) with extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and adolescents across a wide range of challenges.

My therapeutic approach is integrative — drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and solution-focused techniques. I tailor each treatment plan to the individual, because no two people are the same.

I am dual licensed in New York and New Jersey, and I am verified by Psychology Today. I offer sessions both in-person at my Staten Island office and online, so you can access care in whatever way feels most comfortable.
